About Ken Mayo

Ken Mayo has over 11 years experience as a licensed independent home and property inspector. He also teaches BCIT property inspection students, in addition to being an approved Field Trainer at ASTTBC and Consumer Protection BC.

Ken has over 35 years experience as a municipal engineering surveys and as a part-time renovation contractor. He is passionate about being involved with projects which provide universal access in as many ways as possible in the built environment.

His goal is to work with building owners and management to improve access for all users of facilities, specializing in municipal and commercial properties in the Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley regions.

Ken Mayo House Inspections launched in 2007, providing residential home inspections for the real estate industry.

After provincial inspector licensing in 2009 we expanded our scope to include commercial inspections and also consulting on a range of building issues, from roofing to building envelope leak detection.

We also began a relationship with SaferHOME Standards Society, inspecting new construction for compliance with the SaferHOME Guidelines and then to become an RHFAC assessor in 2018.
